Dr. James Yi D.C.
Dr. James Yi was introduced to chiropractic at a very young age. Growing up in a household where his mother was an oriental medicine doctor and acupuncturist, he was always given more natural ways to deal with different conditions. At the age of 13 Dr.James first began to have low back pain, not due to any specific cause but his back pain began to interfere with him being able to play basketball and tennis. After being referred to a chiropractor by his mother, his chiropractor explained to him how a lot of daily activities could have caused his low back pain, and that it did not have to be one obvious incident. Dr. James received his first adjustment and began to feel immediate relief. After his first experience with the benefits of chiropractic, Dr. James began to see his chiropractor on a regular basis. Before and after tennis matches, he would get adjusted to prevent injury or any other episodes of the low backpain. Dr. James feels very lucky that he had the opportunity to be introduced to chiropractic at a very young age, and feels that most people begin to seek the help of a chiropractor too late in their lives.
In Dr. James’ free time he likes to spend time playing basketball, tennis, golf, and also spending time with his family and friends.

At the young age 9 years old, I first started going to chiropractors with my mother who suffered from migraine headaches; he was a tall German guy with a strong accent and huge hands as I remembered as a small child. I was always asked by him to lay on the table so he could take a look at me and told me often that someday he would get his hands on me but by fear I always said no, years had passed and in high school being involved in various sport injuries and in one year involved in 4 car accidents. I finally went to see a local chiropractor who within a couple of weeks had me feeling better than I felt in a long time, back then I wanted to be an architect and was pretty good with my hands, well I showed up to the chiropractors office for a treatment and saw a kid my age who had cerebral palsy in a wheel chair being wheeled in to his adjusting room. I honestly expected him to come walking out, well when he didn’t I asked the doctor why are you working on that kid if he is still in a wheel chair and he told me something that I still hold dear to my heart. He said “the work I do on that kid gives him 30mins of relief he never experiences outside of my treatment”. Thinking to myself “wow that's powerful”, and I immediately began my studies for chiropractic. When I was accepted I made it all the way to the clinic portion of school and looked on our roster to see who was going to be my supervisor and wouldn’t you know it, it was my mother’s old chiropractor who recognized my name and chose me to work under him in clinic. His first words to me “I told you I would get my hands on you someday'. The rest is what you would say is history- Glory to God
